Alexian Brothers PACE is honored to announce that we are the recipient of Ascension Living's Vineyard Award! This is a national award recognizing an exemplary team serving the older adults that Ascension Living cares for across 54 locations throughout the United States. An expert panel reviewed all candidates under the Ascension Living umbrella and chose Alexian Brothers PACE as the top-performing team for single-level senior care.
Our PACE team works with adults ages 55 and older who qualify for long-term care, but wish to remain in their own homes and communities, rather than moving to a facility. PACE participants benefit from a full range of services, including top-notch medical attention from physicians and nurse practitioners in the centers, home health, and adult day services. Team members provide a network of support for participants that includes many levels of care, from help with bathing and dressing at home, to reliable transportation to medical appointments.
Since 1998, PACE's team has served a wide variety of participants with varying needs. As such, building trust and forming friendships is an incredibly important part of our mission. We are proud to have a staff of exceptional caregivers who not only meet external needs, but who love and nurture for the hearts and minds of these older adults, too. Without their unwavering commitment to providing compassionate and dignified care, PACE could not exist.
Danny Stricker, chief operating officer for Ascension Living praised our team members for their outstanding achievements, stating, "The team's relentless focus on the health and wellbeing of the participants, and significant attention to understanding each participant's needs and goals, allows [PACE] to be successful and provides inspiration to many. I am humbled by their noble work to help Chattanooga residents live their fullest lives, including at the end of life."
Brian Cooper, vice president of operations for Ascension Living PACE, praised the leadership efforts of our directors and doctors, stating "[they] have naturally created a family like culture and built a team that is driven to always do the right thing for their PACE participants."
PACE's high level of staff retention is a crucial component in creating this family culture; our team members and participants come to know and trust one another through years of interaction and service. These long-term relationships not only offer peace of mind, but also make it possible for joyful friendships to develop, enriching the lives and communities of our participants.
Alexian Brothers PACE thanks Ascension Living for their recognition of our efforts to provide holistic, compassionate care for vulnerable adults living in our community. We are honored to support these amazing men and women and to become trusted members of their families
